Madhya Pradesh announces subsidy for electricity

The Madhya Pradesh government has announced that the state with providing subsidies for the people of the state over Rs. 20,700 crores on electricity to farmers and consumers.

The chief minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan announced the plan for the same at a press briefing and explained that the plan has been taken to ensure that the people of the state are able to live a carefree life in the coming days.

He said that the plan will be beneficial for the farmers of the state to help yield proper crops and make a living for themselves in the country.

However, the chief minister urged the public to use the electricity wisely and not waste the same as it is available at a cheaper rate. He said that he expects his citizens to be good and responsible humans and ensure that the state doesn’t suffer in this regard.
This announcement brought in some queries for the coal production in the state and country.

The Union Minister of Coal Pralhad Joshi however cleared the air and said that there will be no dearth of coal production due to the announcement and the same will keep on with the current production rate.

Shivraj Singh Chouhan also consoled the destruction caused in the state due to the floods.
