The show is called Pulwama Key No. 1026. This eight-episode limited series is based on the book The Lover Boy of Bahawalpur penned down by author and journalist Rahul Pandita.
National Award Winning Director Onir is going to direct a web series based on the 2019 Pulwama attacks in which 40 CRPF soldiers were slaughtered by a suicide bomber.
On February 14, 2019, 40 CRPF personnel were killed when a Jaish – e – Mohammed terrorist pushed a vehicle filled with explosives towards their bus.
The makers of the show said in a statement that this web series is made to pay a tribute to all the brave soldiers of India and the NIA team who investigated the attack day and night without a break. They also added that SonyLIV is bringing a never-seen-before story that is directed by National Award Winning director Onir.
This series is a tribute to all those brave souls who sacrificed their lives for the country in a blink of an eye.
The head of content, Sony LIV, Sony Pictures Networks India, Sony Entertainment Television, Ashish Golwalkar said the show focuses on an ‘authentic narrative’ of the Pulwama attacks.
Golwalkar further adds in his statement that the book ‘The Lover Boy of Bahawalapur’ has a lot of unknown facts about the incident that has helped them to create a great web series.
Onir, who is directing the series, said that it didn’t only take 40 lives but ‘broke India and its people.’
Rahul Pandita talks about how these soldiers were not just numbers but they had dreams, families and a future they couldn’t see. He was glad that a web series is being created for these attacks and it will be an epic drama.
