The short film ‘Sheer Qorma’ has been creating a lot of buzz online and now it got massive recognition.
Divya Dutta who is known for her unconventional acting skills and move choices has won millions of hearts with her performances in the film industry. She is one of those talented actors who knows how to blend in with the roles just perfectly.
Her performances in movies like ‘Bhaag Milkha Bhaag’, ‘Badlapur’, ‘Veer-Zaara’ was commendable and people still praise them.
Divya Dutta won the Best Actor Award at DFW South Asian Film Festival in Dallas US for her exceptional performance in the short film ‘Sheer Qorma’. The film is travelling internationally to many film festivals and has gained a lot of appreciation and applauds globally.
Directed by Faraz Ansari, ‘Sheer Qorma’ revolves around the LGBTQA+ community with a gratifying story that moves the audience from within. Phenomenal actors like Shabana Azmi and Swara Bhasker are also a part of it.
While receiving the award, Divya said that she was feeling ecstatic to receive an award physically as the other film fests happened virtually and she was grateful and thanked everyone for the award.
Apart from this, Dutta also launched her new book, which is her 2nd book after ‘Me and Ma’. The name of her second book is ‘The Stars in My Sky’, the book takes us to her memorable journey of working in the glamorous Bollywood industry and her interactions with people who contributed to her career and played a fundamental role in her life.
Talking about her new book, she said that she is happy to launch the second book in the US and she is looking forward to a small get-together back in Mumbai next month.
Her new book will be available in India on October 25, she will be seen on the big screen in ‘Dhakkad’ starring Kangana Ranaut and ‘Sharmaji Ki Beti’ starring Arjun Rampal.
