On Wednesday, security forces neutralized 2 terrorists in an encounter in Shopian’s Dragad are of J&K.
One of the two terrorists was identified as Adil Wani was involved in the civilian killing of a carpenter from Saharanpur, UP three days back stated Vijay Kumar (IGP Kashmir Zone).
Security forces launched a search operation for the terrorists in the Dragad, Shopian area as soon as they got information about terrorist presence here.
The search operation initiated by the security forces converted into an encounter after the terrorists opened fire on them.
The terrorists belonged to The Resistance Front (TRF) which is a shadow outfit of Lashkar-e-Toiba.
The IGP stated the identity of the terrorist in a tweet and he also said that so far 15 terrorists have been neutralized in 2 weeks.
In this operation 3 security force personnel were injured, a PTI report stated.
The civilian killings in Jammu and Kashmir have been a saddening incident and the tensions rising in the state has been a matter of concern especially for the migrants who are being targeted by the terrorists. Many migrants are preparing to leave J&K for their safety and the state that was always under terror is seeing danger signalling their doors again.
