Attention Pensioners: Just 7 Days Left to Submit Life Certificate I Here’s how to do it from home

All alive pensioners are supposed to submit their Digital Life Certificate under the EPS-95 scheme (Employees Pension Scheme – 1995) every year to continue to receive their pension.

An important announcement for all pensioners and retired citizens, those who haven’t submitted their life certificate yet have 7 more days to submit it.

This certificate is compulsory for every pensioner to confirm they are not dead to avail pension facilities.

The rule came into effect for people who are 80 years or above from October 1 and the submission window is open till November 1.

For those who are below the age of 80, the rule will come into effect from November 1 and the submission window will last till November 30.

Before the deadline, the pensioners must visit their nearest post office or bank to their life certificate.

  • Visit the Jeevan Pramaan website: https://jeevanpramaan.gov.in/
  • Fill in the required details of the pensioner like name, mobile number, Aadhar Card details and other pension-related details.

Another way pensioners can submit their life certificates is by doorstep banking facility.

Previously, pensioners had to physically go to banks for the life certificate and in some banks; it is still prevalent to avoid fraud and mishaps. However, with Digital Life Certificate, life has become easier for senior citizens as they don’t have to visit banks anymore and avoid the hassle.
