BJP Attacks Opponents Seeking to Take Out Rallies in Tripura; TMC Woman MP Not Spared: Mamata

The TMC seeks to dissolve the BJP from power in Tripura in the 2023 assembly election.

Mamata Banerjee said that there is peace in West Bengal which is a good type of peace and not peace that symbolises a graveyard. She further said that whatever is happening in Tripura is wrong, the TMC workers are not even allowed to be treated in the hospital.

She stated this in a rally at Siliguri.

Banerjee said that when BJP is carrying out political rallies in West Bengal, there is no such violence but it is not the case vice-versa.

She focused on her speech that a woman MP was attacked. She further said there is a similar case in Uttar Pradesh too.

She said that a delegation of TMC MPs went to meet the family members of the farmers killed in the Lakhimpur – Kheri violence earlier this month posing as tourists.

She slammed BJP saying that they promote disharmony among people and the TMC will not allow their policy of hatred and protect the culture and heritage of West Bengal.

She also said that she was doubtful about the numbers of the 100 crore COVID 19 vaccination milestone in the country.
