Vamika Kohli 9-months-old daughter of Anushka Sharma & Virat Kohli was in the headlines for receiving threats of Rape on Twitter as soon as India lost the T-20 World Cup against Pakistan.
Swati Maliwal Chairperson of Delhi Commission for Women (DCW) has issued notice to police authorities on the rape threats made on Twitter against the daughter of Virat Kohli. She further added that this was very shameful and requested the immediate arrest of the concerned accused. DCW has also asked for all details of the arrest, the identity of the accused, a copy of the FIR, and also to see the action taken, reported in this shameful incident.
Actor Abhinav Shukla stated that in India we are now facing a very shameful low each day. He further added that earlier Dhoni’s daughter too had been threatened as India had not played up to mark in IPL.

DCW notice to the police further clarifies that if no arrest is made, the Delhi Police should describe the process or steps taken by the department in this matter. The date of 8th November is set till which the information should be provided.
Reacting to this incident, Rahul Gandhi of Congress has sent a note to Virat Kohli expressing his solidarity with him. He added that people are hateful as they lack love in their life. He felt that Kohli should forgive them & concentrate on moving ahead to protect the team.
Earlier, Virat Kohli had made sharp comments when his teammate Mohammed Shami was attacked over his religion after the Indian team lost.
