Bollywood actress Kangana Ranaut can’t keep calm with her words, yet again she finds herself in a controversy after she commented on national TV that India got real freedom in 2014, slamming about 1947 and Congress.
Soon after her comment, memes started to pop up against Kangana on the internet followed by a complaint registered by the National executive chairman of AAP Preethi Menon. She filed this complaint seeking an FIR from Mumbai Police.
Kangana who was recently awarded the prestigious Padma Shri award stated that Congress was just an extension of British rule, supporting the BJP indirectly. She said that India received freedom in 1947 as ‘bheek.’
Submitted an application to @MumbaiPolice requesting action on Kangana Ranaut for her seditious and inflammatory statements on @TimesNow, under sections 504, 505 and 124A.

Congress’s Gaurav Pandhi tweeted that RSS could never accept that the British were forced to leave in the past. The return of slavery in 2014 is their so-called freedom and Kangana is one of them he said.
Take a look at what Kangana commented on national television
The new Ruchi Pathak on the block. From 99 year lease to bheek main mili azaadi. All the blood, sweat and balidan of our freedom fighters including Jhansi ki Rani dismissed to please the master. The WhatsApp history fans. pic.twitter.com/LdFCt9lCoR

In contrast, BJP MP Varun Gandhi commented something else regarding this, he tweeted that insulting all those freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Bhagat Singh, Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Rani Laxmi Bai, Chandrashekhar Azad and so many more is madness, or is it treason?
Kangana who herself played Rani Laxmi Bai in Manikarnika dared to comment on this. In party politics, such statements are an insult to freedom fighters who gave their lives for the independence of India who didn’t think twice about what will happen after the British left. They didn’t think about petty political issues as all they cared about was freedom.
Varun Gandhi further said to PTI that this is an anti-national act and must be called out. If it is not addressed then it will be a betrayal of all those people who fought for the freedom of the country.
The question asked was about Savarkar, but the response was on a different matter. Navika Kumar then followed up with a question about whether Kangana was expressing her loyalty to the BJP, and Kangana responded by saying she's a patriot. For her upcoming film Tejas, Kangana recently travelled to Andaman and Nicobar Islands and also visited Veer Savarkar’s cell. She said that the history is not structured as many parts are omitted and many heroes are still not credited.
The actor has always been under the public eye and controversy for her baseless commentary and statements against politics and nepotism. This started surfacing more after she started voicing for Sushant Singh Rajput and nepotism in the industry last year and since then there is no looking back.
