Shashi Tharoor’s latest tweet spurred some controversy as he wrote; Lok Sabha is an attractive place to work when he posted a photo with 6 women MPs just before the beginning of the Winter Session Of Parliament.
Who says the Lok Sabha isn’t an attractive place to work? With six of my fellow MPs this morning: @supriya_sule @preneet_kaur @ThamizhachiTh @mimichakraborty @nusratchirps @JothimaniMP pic.twitter.com/JNFRC2QIq1

The above tweet came offensive to some people and they commented that it concealed sexism. Shashi Tharoor then tweeted an apology.
The whole selfie thing was done (at the women MPs' initiative) in great good humour & it was they who asked me to tweet it in the same spirit. I am sorry some people are offended but i was happy to be roped in to this show of workplace camaraderie. That's all this is. https://t.co/MfpcilPmSB

The MPs in the photo were TMC’s Nusrat Jahan, Mimi Chakraborty, Amarinder Singh’s wife Praneet Kaur, NCP’s Supriya Sule, Congress’s Tamizhachi, Jothimani, Thangapandia with Mr Tharoor. His tweet with the selfie was criticised for being insensitive.
Incredible that someone as exposed to equality discourse as @ShashiTharoor would attempt to reduce elected political leaders to their looks, and centre himself in the comment to boot. This is 2021, folks. https://t.co/aPJ3NK4sCW

Vanathi Srinivasan who is the national president of the BJP’s Mahila Morcha criticised Shashi Tharoor and accused him of objectifying women.
An elected representative openly objectifying women, that too inside the Parliament is a new low! I take strong objection to @ShashiTharoor's sexist remark.
But then, he is only living up to the Congress culture!@BJPMahilaMorcha Strongly Condemns..https://t.co/9sVDkfNu7bAdvertisement— Vanathi Srinivasan (@VanathiBJP) November 29, 2021
The parliament session was big this year as the opposition planned to oppose the government on a variety of issues. One of the most prominent ones is to roll back the three farm laws. Yesterday, the farm laws were repealed at the Winter Parliamentary Session without any discussion that sparked some discussions that it happened for the first time that the opposition wasn’t given a chance to discuss repealing the farm laws.
