Just days after Tesla founder and CEO Elon Musk tweeted that his company was ‘working through a lot of challenges with the Indian government that have delayed his plans to launch Tesla in the country, 4 states have invited Musk to set up manufacturing units in India. West Bengal Minister Mr Ghulam Rabbani is the latest addition to the list. He took to Twitter to invite Musk to ‘drop here’ and set up his business in the state.
Tesla has been meaning to launch its products in India. Last year Tesla had asked for a reduction in import duties so that its high-performance electric cars can be put for sale in India. The Heavy Industries Ministry had replied that Tesla must first start manufacturing its iconic vehicles before any tax concessions are considered.
Elon Musk had mentioned his challenges on Twitter to which WB Minister replied

And later in the day, Punjab Congress Chief Navjot Singh Sidhu also invited Elon Musk to set up shop

Previously, Maharashtra minister Jayant Patil invited Musk to set up a production unit assuring that all necessary help will be provided to the company.

Tesla electric cars are very famous across the world as it works on power rather than petrol which is probably going to be the future for the world. Tesla cars are also well-automated with features like Auto Park, great navigation and so much more. Electric cars are the future of the automobile industry but making it a possibility in India is farfetched as the country still heavily relies on Petrol and limited CNG stations.
