A new update on the CoWIN app allows you to register over 6 names using the same mobile number. Previously you could register only 4 people under the same number, now the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare has increased the number to 6.
The Ministry also mentioned that it has bought various new features on the CoWIN app through which the citizens can change their current vaccination status in case they are entered wrong.
“The vaccination status can be corrected by the beneficiaries, wherein occasional isolated cases, the vaccination certificates are generated due to inadvertent data entry errors by the vaccinator in updation of vaccination data of beneficiaries,” said the ministry.
Now citizens can register up to 6 beneficiaries using one mobile number instead of 6
Vaccination Status change
Now citizens can change their status from fully vaccinated to partially vaccinated or unvaccinated status and partially to unvaccinated status. This can be corrected by citizens in occasional cases when vaccine certificates are created with wrong data as the current data is not updated on time. After you change the status, it will take 3-7 days to be approved. Such citizens can get their due vaccine dose at the nearest vaccine centre once their status is successfully updated.
