Now iOS WhatsApp users can pause and resume their voice messages while they are recording them. This was previously not the case as you could only record it in one go and you have to send that recording only. This is an addition to the preview option where users can see what they have recorded before sending it. Another new feature that is introduced in the app is Focus mode which is a part of iOS 15. The new feature is seen in select iPhone updates although it will be available for everyone in the coming few weeks.
The WhatsApp for iOS version 22.5.75 allows users to pause and resume voice messages when they are recording them. The previous voice recording button will be replaced by a pause and resume button.
This is what the new pause and resume voice button will look like:
This feature was first spotted in October last year. It was not available for everyone at that time but now the general audience can view it. The second new feature is Focus Mode which will allow users to get messages from selected contacts when they don’t want to be disturbed by regular notifications.
iOS Whatsapp users who have the iOS 15 version shows the user their contact’s profile picture alongside the new message. This is similar to how you receive a Twitter DM. It was spotted by WABetaInfo this month.
People who are fond of voice notes used to face issues when they recorded messages, it is primitive where you can record and send it then and there without edits. Now with this new feature users will at least get to pause and resume the voice note in case they are interrupted while recording it.
