Now Twitter users will be able to write longer tweets; Twitter Articles Feature on the works – Know more here.
Twitter is reportedly working on ‘Twitter Articles’ that will allow Twitteratis to post tweets with longer text like Facebook. According to the latest reports shared by a reverse engineering expert on Twitter, the company may allow you to write posts beyond 280 characters. Currently, users can tweet longer text pieces using threads i.e. multiple tweets in a chain.
This feature was first spotted by reverse engineering expert Jane Manchun Wong, who shared a screenshot of the Twitter interface as you can see in the tweet. Here you can see there is a new feature where you can create a Twitter Article.

Twitteratis have a limited 280 character limit, and when they wish to share something more than that, they tweet below the main tweet making it a thread. Users rely on bots and automated accounts that collate and ‘unroll’ these threads into an easy-to-read format. Twitter had also announced a Reader feature back in November 2021 that would make it simpler to read long threads. It is however limited to only Twitter Blue subscribers.
Twitter hasn’t officially released any statement about long articles and which accounts will have access to it. The company is working on a few features as a part of Twitter Blue Labs that will eventually come to the main platform. Twitter previously had a 140 character limit to their tweets which was extended to 280 characters a few years back.
