The world still can’t come out of the gruesome fact that Legendary Singer Lata Mangeshkar is not with us anymore. February 6 won’t be the same anymore as she passed at the age of 92. Her mortal remains were consigned to the flames amid the chanting of Vedic mantras at the Shivaji Park crematorium.
Asha Bhosle took to Instagram to share an emotional post for Lata Mangeshkar. She shares a childhood picture where the duo looks extremely adorable. She captioned the post “Bachpan ke din bhi kya din the. Didi and I.”

Lata Mangeshkar passed away on Sunday due to multiple organ failure at the age of 92. She was admitted to Mumbai’s Breach Candy hospital on January 8 after she was diagnosed with COVID 19 and pneumonia.
Several celebrities attended her funeral at Shivaji Park on Sunday including actor Shah Rukh Khan, actor Ranbir Kapoor, actor Aamir Khan, actor Shraddha Kapoor, cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, singer Anuradha Podwal, musician Shankar Mahadevan, actor Vidya Balan and her husband and producer Siddharth Roy Kapur.
Bharat Ratna Lata Mangeshkar’s mortal remains were consigned to flames in a public funeral with full state honours amid the chanting of Vedic hymns and Hindu rituals. The National flag was ceremonially folded and handed over to Lata’s nephew Adinath Mangeshkar who handed it to the other grieving family members present there.
PM Narendra Modi came to pay his last respects yesterday. Two-day national mourning will be observed in memory of the legendary singer, government sources informed on Sunday.
