The Ahmedabad IPL franchise will be called the GUJRAT TITANS. The team will be led by Hardik Pandya, he was offered Rs 15 crore in the IPL auction to be a part of the team. The other prominent players of the team are Rashid Khan (12 crores) and Shubham Gill (8 crores)

Talking about the name of the team, Hardik Pandya said: “It is a pretty amazing feeling, to be honest, Loved the name. Shows our characters. It means a lot to me. When I see the happiness, you know my family, they stay in Gujarat and the kind of pride I see in their eyes, that means a lot. Great opportunity for me as well. This is going to be a learning curve for me.”
Siddharth Patel, from Gujarat Titans, said that the motivation of the team is courage and honesty. He added that they want this team to achieve great things for Gujarat and hence it was given the name, ‘Titans’. He said that he is confident that they will be able to get the right combination of players for the new season. He said that the team needs players who are not only highly skilled but are also inspired to be Titans of the game.
Vikram Solanki is appointed as the Director of Cricket for this team. Gary Kirsten will be the batting coach and mentor of the Ahmedabad franchise while Ashish Nehra is the head coach. The IPL mega auction will be held from February 12 & 13 in Bengaluru. IPL 2022 is scheduled to begin in March-end this year and the finals will happen in May, BCCI secretary Jay Shah confirmed earlier.
