Know How to Download Instant e-Pan Card From Income Tax Portal I Step By step Guide

Once you are out of your education and you become a graduate, a PAN card is something you must add to your list of important documents besides your Aadhaar Card. Although ordering your PAN card has become a swift process, you might not have the physical card with you at all times.

In cases where your PAN card is lost or stolen, what should you do next? The Income Tax Portal has an option where you can download an e-PAN card from the website. You can download e-PAN from the new website of the Income Tax Portal.


How to download e-PAN from the IT portal?

  • Go to incometax.gov.in
  • Click on ‘our services’ and go to ‘instant e-PAN’.
  • If you have already downloaded your e-PAN once, you have to click on the ‘check status/download e-PAN’ option. If you haven’t downloaded it before, click on the ‘get new e-PAN’ option.
  • Choose the option that you need to to get your e-PAN and click on continue.
  • The page will ask for your 12 digit Aadhaar number. Enter it in the dialogue box.
  • After entering the Aadhaar number, the page will show a declaration and you can then click on continue.
  • You will receive an OTP on your registered mobile number of Aadhaar card. Enter the OTP in the dialogue box.
  • The page will display all your information, check them carefully and enter your email ID.
  • After submitting it, you will get your e-PAN in your email.

You can also obtain your e-PAN with your PAN number from websites like UTIITSL or TIN-NSDL.
