As we all know, Aadhaar is a 12 digit identity number that is issued by the UIDAI (Unique Identity Authority of India), it is one of the major documents of identity and proof. Nowadays, people ask for an Aadhaar card as the very first document of Identity proof and it is also essential for different government purposes.
However, in case you lose your Aadhaar card and you can’t find its digital copy, you can obtain it from the internet instantly. When you are logging in the details for obtaining your Aadhaar card, make sure you enter the same mobile number and Email ID that you have registered before.
How to download your Aadhaar Card?
- Visit https://myaadhaar.uidai.gov.in/
- Log in using your Aadhaar Number or OTP, the OTP will come in your registered mobile number.
- After OTP authentication, you will receive your 12 digit Aadhaar number on your registered mobile number or Email ID.
- You can use the number to download your Aadhaar or order a reprint of it.
The reprint facility for Aadhaar was launched in 2018 on a Pilot basis in case citizens lose their Aadhaar cards. They have to pay a nominal charge for reprinting in case they lose, misplace the card or if they want a new copy.
