BOLLYWOOD NEWS: Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar not getting married in a nikah or a Marathi wedding
Contrary to popular belief, Farhan Akhtar and Shibani Dandekar are not getting married in the Maharashtrian way or having a Nikah. Instead, the pair have opted to keep the main ceremony as modest as possible and as intimate as possible. According to a source close to the couple, they wanted to make it as basic and uncomplicated as possible. For the wedding, guests have also been advised to wear simple colours such as pastels and whites. There will be no nikahs or Marathi weddings. Instead, they have decided to hold a small-scale vow renewal ceremony. Both have drafted their vows, which they will say aloud on their wedding day, February 19.
Apparently, the couple elected not to have a traditional wedding in order to keep their religious backgrounds and beliefs apart from their big day.
