In the latest development, IRCTC has announced that they are launching their new app ‘Confirm Ticket for booking tickets. This mobile app is launched especially for tatkal bookings.

According to Amar Ujala reports, the passengers can now book their Tatkal tickets right from home without any hassle. This app will allow the passengers to see how many seats are available for different trains and how many tatkal tickets are available on a specific route. Passengers don’t need to enter the train numbers to get details on the app. It is available in Google Play Store for Android users. You can also cancel your ticket from this app.

Save Personal Information permanently

When you usually log in from the IRCTC website, you have to enter all your details to see the train details which are a waste of time as you have to do it again and again. In the app, all your details are stored permanently and you don’t have to renter it every time you check tatkal bookings.

Apart from the Google play store, you can also download the app from the IRCTC website (irctc.co.in). The extra charge for the tatkal tickets is still levied even when you book from the app. If you have the IRCTC Next Generation app, you can download it from there as well.

As you know, tatkal tickets are subject to availability, you might get a confirmed ticket or you might be on the waiting list.
