Oppo has officially put its first tablet onto the market, following a series of leaks and rumours. The Chinese market has seen the release of the Oppo Pad. Oppo is the most recent smartphone manufacturer to introduce a tablet to the market. Realme, Samsung, and Motorola have also introduced tablets to the market.
Oppo has not stated if it intends to offer the tablet in the Indian market. It is presently exclusively available in the Chinese market.
Price and availability of the Oppo Pad
Oppo Pad is available in China for CNY 2,299 (about Rs. 27,370) for the 6GB+128GB model, and CNY 2,699 for the 6GB+256GB variant (roughly Rs. 32,160). The most expensive option, with 8GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, costs CNY 2,999. (roughly Rs. 35,720). The tablet is available in two colour options: black and purple. Oppo also released a special Artist edition, which is more expensive than the other two varieties. The tablet costs CNY 3,499 (roughly Rs. 41,700). The tablet’s availability in India is unknown at this time.
Specifications for the Oppo Pad
The Oppo Pad has an 11-inch LCD display with a resolution of 2,5601,600 pixels. The display has a high refresh rate of 120Hz as well as a touch sampling rate of 120Hz. It also has HDR10 support. The Qualcomm Snapdragon 870 SoC powers the Oppo Pad, which is paired with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of UFS 3.1 storage. The Oppo Pad comes pre-installed with Android 11 and ColorOS 12.
The Oppo Pad has a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front-facing camera. It has an 8,360mAh battery with 33W fast charging capabilities. The Oppo Pad has a quad-speaker configuration with four 1.8-1.9cm independent sound chambers. Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio are supported by the speakers.
