Aadhaar Card has become an important document for Indian citizens now. It is required almost everywhere as a PhotoID. Various private and public agencies ask for Aadhaar Card as ID proof.
The UIDAI who issue the Aadhaar cards allows cardholders to make changes to the Aadhaar card. You have to visit the official UIDAi website to make the changes like your address, phone number, photo etc.
They charge a minimal amount for the changes you make. In some cases, you have to visit a nearby Aadhaar Enrollment Centre to make changes to your Aadhaar Card.
Here is how you can change the photo on your Aadhaar Card:
- Visit the official website of UIDAI: https://uidai.gov.in/my-aadhaar/update-aadhaar.html
- Enter the required details in the Aadhaar Enrollment Form.
- Submit the form to the nearest Aadhaar Enrollment Center by taking a printout.
- The official at the centre will check the information before clicking your photo.
- You have to pay Rs 100+GST for changing your photo on your Aadhaar Card.
- You will get an acknowledgement slip after payment.
- The photo will be updated in 90 days.
