As per the current beta, WhatsApp is working on a community tab

WhatsApp is constantly introducing new features to its platform in order to improve the customer experience. In the most recent such development, it has been discovered that the corporation is now working on a new community tab for its app. A feature tracker disclosed the information, which claims that the functionality would allow group admins to add certain groups to a “Community.” These organisations will subsequently be listed together under the Community category.

According to WABetaInfo, the messaging platform is now working on the community Tab feature. The functionality was discovered in the most recent WhatsApp beta for Android 2.22.6.9. While the functionality is not yet accessible, the feature tracker supplied a screenshot of the Community tab symbol. The new icon replaces the camera icon that was previously present.

As per reports, Community Tab is a shortcut for the upcoming “Community Home” feature. Communities are anticipated to be end-to-end encrypted private areas where group admins will have more control over their groups.

WhatsApp has yet to start testing the Community feature. When that happens, beta testers will be able to utilise it before it is fully rolled out. Because WhatsApp has yet to provide any specifics regarding this function, it is impossible to predict when it will be made accessible to the public. Having said that, the Voice recording pause and restart functionality, which is already in beta testing, should be available shortly.
