‘Jhund’ starring Amitabh Bachchan had a slow start with its premiere on Friday because of The Batman and also Gangubai Kathiawadi still hitting the top list. However, just as the weekend began, it collected over Rs 1.50 crore in a single day. The film is set in Maharashtra and depicts what happened when a retired professor trains a set of young people from the slums and give them a better life beyond their low-life conditions.
This film will do great in Maharashtra, however, it is still doubtful how it will perform nationally.
As per trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the movie was only released on a limited number of screens, has received positive reviews and has helped the box office climb on day 2. If the film performs well in the North Indian region, it will be a hit by today which is Day 3.

By day 2, Jhund made up to Rs 2.40 – 3 crores according to early reports. It is a huge increase from Day 1’s 1.50 crore earning. The current BO earning is between 3.90 and 4.50 crore. The reviews of the movie are positive and people like it so far. However, with more screen releases, it can do well. Amitabh Bachchan’s aura and talented screen presence will make the film a huge hit.
