The dearness allowance of the central government was supposed to increase before holi but the exact dates for the announcement were still unknown. However, according to a new Zeebiz report, the announcement might happen on March 16.
The DA of central govt. employees are likely to increase by 3% to 34%. The employees are also waiting for the Modi government to announce a hike in the fitment factor. This will boost the minimum wages of the employees to a higher range. The government employees have been demanding a raise in their minimum wage from Rs 18,000 to Rs 26,000 and the fitment factor from 2.57 times to 3.68 times. If the fitment factor is increased, it means that there will be a big increase in their basic salary as well.
With this much-awaited announcement, their salary will increase drastically. With the fitment factor increasing, the employees can expect at least an increase of Rs 8,000 in the minimum salary.
Employees have been waiting for this rise for a long time now. If the announcement happens soon, they will be able to celebrate Holi in a much better way which is one of the biggest festivals in India.
