BIG UPDATE FOR SBI YONO Users: Bank plans to soon revamp app to ‘Only YONO’ and offer extra services

The SBI (State Bank of India) on Thursday (March 10) announced that they are recreating its mobile banking app – YONO. The country’s largest bank said that they are revamping the app under a new name ‘ONLY YONO’.

SBI YONO is one of the most popular bank apps of India with over 54 million active users (monthly) and it has seen a growth of over 35% in 2021.

SBI is planning to implement the revamp of its mobile banking platform in the coming year. It will also aim at migrating millions of YONO users to the Only Yono platform.

“Only Yono is envisaged as the next generation of Yono which will make SBI ready to launch a completely digital bank with a leaner and modular architecture, more streamlined journeys, sleek and personalized customer-centric design and capturing value from ecosystems,” an SBI notice seeking consultants for the initiative reads.

SBI said that they plan to hire a consultant that will help the customers in laying out effective business plans and also enhance user experience in the coming 5 years.
