Prices of THESE daily products to increase, Nestle and HUL announce price hike for specific products, Read Here

It is no hidden fact that the prices of different consumer goods across different categories are rising. However, the most basic product that is found in each household and hostel as a backup lunch or dinner is going to be costly again. Nestle’s Maggi will see a price hike from 9% to 16% as quoted by sources in a CNBC TV-18 interview. Apart from Maggi, Nestle is all set to increase the prices for its milk and coffee powder.

The 70gms pack of Maggi Masala noodles will be now Rs 14 which was Rs 12. The 140gm pack of Maggi Masala noodles will be hiked by Rs 3 (12.5%) 560gms by 9.4% and sold at Rs 105 which was Rs 96 before.

Nestle A+milk 1 litre carton will see a 4% hike i.e. it will cost Rs 78 now (previously Rs 75), the price of Nescafe classic coffee powder will be Rs 80 (previously Rs 78 (2.5% hike). The 50 gms pack will now cost Rs 150 (previously Rs 145 (3.4% hike), according to the latest CNBC TV-18 report.

HUL has also increased the prices of its tea and coffee powder range. The company’s Bru coffee will get costlier by 3-7% and the Taj Mahal tea prices will be hiked by 3.75 – 5.8% for all variants. Brooke Bond 3 also saw a rise in price by 1.5%. According to the reports, HUL said they are increasing the prices as they are facing inflationary pressure on its products.

The rise of prices comes ahead of the release of the retail inflation data for February 2022. In recent months various retail products have seen drastic price hikes due to a variety of reasons. Some of the reasons were the high cost of raw materials, transportation costs (fuel price hike) etc.
