Intel introduces the Core i9-12900KS as the world’s fastest desktop processor, with a starting price of roughly Rs 56,000

Intel has officially released all of the specifics, including pricing and availability, for its new 12th Generation Intel Core i9-12900KS processor. The new Intel chipset billed as “the world’s fastest desktop processor,” will be available internationally beginning April 5. Intel has a “recommended customer pricing” of $739, or around Rs 56,000. In India, we may anticipate it to cost between Rs 50,000 and Rs 60,000.

Aside from the world’s fastest tag, Intel claims that the Core i9-12900KS offers up to 5.5 GHz max turbo frequency. In comparison, AMD’s Ryzen 9 5900X has a basic clock speed of 4.8 GHz, so expect huge performance speeds from the new Intel processor.

Intel’s unique technologies, such as Thermal Velocity Boost and Adaptive Boost Technology, support the rapid processing speed. And, like any other high-end processor, Intel claims that the Core i9-12900KS will provide even the most demanding gamers “the ultimate gaming experience.”

Intel’s Core i9-12900KS is aimed at “enthusiasts and gamers” looking for the best processor speeds on the market. It has 16 cores, including eight Performance cores and eight Efficient cores, as well as 24 threads. The performance is mapped to a maximum turbo frequency of 5.5 GHz, a CPU base power of 150W, and a 30MB Intel Smart Cache.

The processor is compatible with PCIe Gen 5.0 and 4.0, as well as DDR5 4800 MT/s and DDR4 3200 MT/s. According to Intel, the Core i9-12900KS is backwards compatible with current Z690 motherboards running the latest BIOS.
