Users of Instagram may soon be able to respond to Stories using pictures and voice messages

Instagram just added the ability to respond to Stories. The functionality is now available to all Android and iOS users worldwide. According to reports, the Meta-owned photo-sharing site is working on two new ways to respond to Stories, one with photos and the other with audio notes. These features are supposedly being developed and will be available shortly.

Alessandro Paluzzi, a software developer noted for discovering impending features on social platforms such as Instagram, provided the information. Paluzzi published screenshots of planned Instagram features.

On stories, one of the pictures shows an image icon next to the message tab. It looks like the functionality will allow users to react to Stories by selecting photographs from their phone’s gallery. The second screenshot shows a ‘mic’ symbol next to the existing GIF choice in place of the picture button.

The photo-sharing app has yet to provide any official information on the impending picture and voice message reply features for Stories. However, because these features are presently being developed, it is probable that we will see their release in the coming weeks or months.
