In August of last year, Xiaomi released the Mi Pad 5 and Mi Pad 5 Pro in China. The Mi Pad 5 is expected to be the company’s first tablet to be released in India.

The identical Mi Pad 5 model may make its way to India. It has an 11-inch LCD display with a screen resolution of 2560×1600 with support for a 120Hz refresh rate, HDR 10, and TrueTone. It also supports Dolby Vision and is powered by MIUI. The Mi Pad 5 now supports high-resolution audio as well as Dolby Atmos.

The device is powered by an 8720mAh battery that supports 33W rapid charging. On the back panel, there’s a dual-camera arrangement with a 13-megapixel sensor and an 8-megapixel secondary lens.

In terms of cost, the Mi Pad 5 starts at CNY 1999, which roughly equates to Rs 23,000, for the base 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration.

There are currently no specifics on the next Xiaomi tablet’s India cost, although it is expected to be low and largely aimed at students. It is safe to assume that with the next tablet, Xiaomi intends to compete with the Realme Pad, which starts at Rs 13,899 for the Wifi variant with 3GB RAM + 32GB storage.
