Apple raises the price of AirPods by up to Rs 6,200 following a customs tax rise

Following the rise in customs tax, Apple has raised the pricing of all of its audio devices in India. In the country, the prices of AirPods 2nd and 3rd generation, AirPods Max, and AirPod Pro have been raised by up to 10%. The third-generation AirPods are now available at Rs 20,500.

The updated prices are already available on Apple’s web store. The Cupertino based computer behemoth has raised the cost of its audio devices by up to Rs 6,200.

Let’s take a peek at the new and old AirPods costs in India.

—AirPods 2nd generation is now available at Rs 14,100, up from Rs 12,900. This is a Rs 1200 increase.

—The third-generation AirPods are now available at Rs 20,500, up from Rs 18,500 before. This is a Rs 2,000 increase.

— The AirPods Pro’s price has been raised to Rs 26,300. It was earlier priced at Rs 24,900. As a result, the price of the AirPods Pro has risen by Rs 1,400.

—The price of the AirPods Max in India has also been hiked by Rs 6,200. It was originally offered for Rs 59900. The AirPods model is presently priced at Rs 66,100.

Although Apple’s online shop shows the audio items at a higher price, websites like Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, Reliance Digital, and others continue to sell them at a lower price.
