BIG NEWS: Sonam Kapoor – Anand Ahuja’s New Delhi house ROBBED of 1.41 crores, Investigations Underway
Bollywood actor Sonam Kapoor and her husband Anand Ahuja’s New Delhi residence were robbed with cash and jewellery worth Rs 1.41 crore. The house currently employs 25 people, including 9 caretakers, drivers, gardeners and other workers.
The burglars are yet to be recognized. The police kept this news under wraps as it was so high profile. The news came to light now as per ABP Marathi reports.
Considering the high profile nature of the case, senior Delhi Police officials seized control of the situation as soon as they could and organized investigating squads.
Sonam Kapoor’s in-laws live in the New Delhi residence. Her father in law, lives with his grandmother Sarla Ahuja, son Harish Ahuja and daughter in law Priya Ahuja. On February 23, Sarla Ahuja and her manager visited the Tughlaq Road police station and reported the theft of jewellery and cash from a cabinet in her apartment.
Sarla Ahuja said in the complaint that on February 11 she found out about the theft when she checked her cabinet for cash and jewellery. She also added that she had checked the jewellery two years ago and stored it in a cupboard. CCTV footage from the previous year is now being investigated by the police.
Sonam and Anand are currently in Mumbai. The couple is expecting their first child. She is currently staying with her father, Anil Kapoor.
