With the April month heading towards its second half, there is a list of holidays that are scheduled from April 14 to April 17. The banks will remain closed for 4 days straight so if you have any important work scheduled, you must complete it before April 14.
On April 14 and April 15, India is celebrating Ambedkar Jayanti, Mahavir Jayanti, Baisakhi, Vaisakhi, Tamil Nadu New Year’s Day, Good Friday, Biju Festival and Vishu. Every month, banks are open on the 3rd Saturday but they will remain closed due to Bohag Bihu in Assam.
List of holidays
|April 14||Ambedkar Jayanti, Mahavir Jayanti, Baisakhi (All India except Meghalaya, Himachal Pradesh)|
|April 15||Good Friday (All India except Rajasthan, J&K)|
|April 16||Bohag Bihu (Assam)|
|April 17||Sunday (All India)|
So, if you were planning to schedule your work this week, make sure that you check this holiday list so that you don’t visit the bank and find out later that it is closed. However, banks in most states will be open on Saturday so you can get your work done at the weekend.
