Maharashtra Schools to Have Summer Vacation from THIS date for Class 1 to 9 & 11 Read Here

The Maharashtra Government on Monday declared that the summer vacation for students of classes 1-9 and 11 across the state will begin from May 2 and continue till June 12, 2022, according to ANI reports.

According to the circular released by the state’s school education department, the next academic session will start on June 13, 2022, except in Vidarbha where it will open from June 27. The date in Vidarbha is set at a later date due to its high temperatures during the day.

The results of Classes 1 to 9 and 11 exams will be announced on April 30 or during the vacation period. Previously, the schools in Maharashtra reopened for all in January.

On 28 March, the state education board issued a GR that had directed schools to function full day on Saturdays instead of half-day and voluntarily on Sundays till 30 April.

Maharashtra registered 41 new COVID 19 cases, it is the lowest daily count in nearly 2 years of the pandemic taking the total active cases to 78,75,211 with no fresh deaths due to the infection, the health department reported.

With the heatwave stressing out people in the northern and western parts of the country, this summer vacation comes as a huge relief to the children who have been finally getting used to physical classes after 2 years of online classes.
