Here comes some fantastic news for all SRK and Rajkumar Hirani fans. Two geniuses of the Bollywood industry coming together for the first time is definitely something to look forward to. SRK shared about his next project on social media on Thursday. Check the tweet here:

The film DUNKI will release in theatres on 22nd December 2023. The title announcement was pretty iconic with SRK appreciating Hirani’s films PK, Munnabhai MBBS, Sanju and asking to work on a film together which is often a comic ploy we see in reality shows where artists ask producers for a role in their film. This ploy is done by extremely popular actors you see and always makes the audience laugh! Here is the video of the title announcement:
The film will also star Tapsee Pannu. It is produced by SRK’s Red Chilies Entertainment.
Confirming the development to news agency ANI, Rajkumar Hirani said, “Through the course of my career Shah Rukh Khan has always been on my wish list and after trying to collaborate several times in the past, we were finally destined to have ‘Dunki’ mark our partnership. The energy, charisma, humour and charm that he brings to a film is unparalleled and I look forward to bringing that magic to the big screen.”.
Adding further, Shah Rukh Khan said, “Raj Kumar Hirani is one of the finest filmmakers of this generation, we have always spoken about working together and I am extremely happy we are finally doing it with ‘Dunki’. We have just started shooting this month and I am cherishing every moment of it. Raju ke liye main Donkey, Monkey…kuch bhi ban sakta hoon!”
Commenting on the same, Tapsee Pannu said, “I am beyond excited to embark on this journey and be a part of this very special film. It’s my first time working with Rajkumar Hirani and Shah Rukh Khan, two people who I deeply respect and admire.”
It is still a mystery what the film is about and what new we will see this time with Rajkumar Hirani. This pair will surely be one of the most awaited ones that the audience never thought they needed. A terrific talent of SRK and Rajkumar Hirani is surely going to set fire on the silver screen.
