WhatsApp is working on a new polling feature for group chats on iOS. This will allow you to create polls for a group instantly. This update was spotted on the WhatsApp beta for iOS 22.9.0.70 update.
It has not been released to beta testers yet. Also, the company has not yet announced when they will make the group polls live for users. Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Telegram, all have polls featured in different versions like stories, tweets, and status updates.
According to WhatsApp tracker WABetaInfo, the feature will allow group members to select one of the many options to choose from. They also shared a screenshot of what the polls will look like:
When a user taps on Vote, the selected option will be shared with other participants. The tracker also reported that the poll will be visible only to the group members and not on other chats or groups. WhatsApp rivals like Telegram, Facebook Messenger, Telegram and Twitter allow you to add group polls. Hence, the messaging giant is slowly trying to beat the poll competition.
