The State Bank of India (SBI), on Wednesday (April 20) urged its customers not to respond to calls from certain numbers as they are associated with phishing scams. They also warned the customers to not click on phishing links for KYC updates.
Taking it to Twitter, the State Bank of India said, “Do not engage with these numbers and don’t click on phishing links for KYC updates as they aren’t associated with SBI.”

In the past few months, the number of banking frauds has shot up in India and across the world. According to a report by RBI, India reported over 4,071 fraud cases between April & September 2021.
SBI also informed its customers to report phishing emails received in their email accounts. “If a customer receives a phishing email, then he/she can report such matters to the bank at [email protected]”, the bank had said in its mail.
