In the last 24 hours, India has recorded 2,483 new COVID-19 cases, Centre

With 2,483 new coronavirus infections recorded in a single day, India’s overall number of COVID-19 cases increased to 4,30,62,569, while active cases decreased to 15,636, according to figures released today by the Union Health Ministry.

The death toll increased to 5,23,622 with 1,399 new fatalities as Assam reconciled 1,347 deaths and Kerala 47 owing to the virus, according to figures updated at 8 a.m.


To represent the current numbers, the total cases, discharges, and fatalities published by Assam in its media bulletin were evaluated, as well as the number of Covid positive patients who died for other reasons. According to the Union Health Ministry, there have been no deaths in the state in the recent 24 hours.

Kerala also recorded zero deaths in the past 24 hours, with 47 deaths declared as a result of an appeal. According to the government, active cases account for 0.04 percent of total infections, while the national COVID-19 recovery rate is 98.75 percent.


In the last 24 hours, the active COVID-19 caseload has been reduced by 886 cases.

According to the ministry, the daily positivity rate was 0.55 percent and the weekly positivity rate was 0.58 percent.


The number of persons who have recovered from the sickness has risen to 4,25,23,311, with a 1.22 percent case fatality rate.

The total number of doses provided in the country as part of the statewide COVID-19 immunisation effort has surpassed 187.95 crores.
