“The price of CNG, which until April 6 was Rs 68/kg, increased to Rs 73 per kg from April 13 in Pune,” Daruwala had said previously on April 13.

When the price saw a huge jump on April 6 by Rs 6 per kg, Daruwala had said that this hike is due to the rise in the international price of imported gas that is added to CNG.

“The main reason for this steep increase is because of the rise in one particular imported gas which is added into the mixture of CNG. The international price of this particular gas has been doubled in the international market,” Daruwala stated.

The prices of CNG and other elements have been on the rise and the prices are not coming down. Various factors are affecting the price hike like the Russia-Ukraine war, Indonesia’s Palm Oil Export Ban, Rise in petrol prices etc.
