Employees’ Provident Fund, abbreviated as PF or EPF, is a savings account for Employees’ Provident Fund Organization members (EPFO). Employees may check the balance of their EPF accounts in four ways.
PF balance through SMS
Send the text “EPFOHO UAN ENG” to the number 7738299899 to check your PF balance through SMS. You will receive an SMS with your most recent PF contribution and overall PF balance. This approach will also allow you to check your PF balance if you do not have your UAN or if you do not have an internet connection. You must, however, guarantee that the SMS is only sent from the registered phone number.
EPFO’s website allows you to check your PF balance
- On the EPFO website, you may also check your account balance.
- Navigate to the EPFO website’s employee area and choose ‘Member Passbook.’
- Log in using your UAN and password.
- The PF passbook will then be displayed, together with the PF interest earned.
Umang App allows you to check your PF balance
To check your PF balance, just download the UMANG app (Unified Mobile Application for New-age Governance) from the Play Store or App Store. You may also search for information about your EPF, such as claim status and Know Your Customer (KYC) status.
PF balance obtained through a missed call
To use the missed call approach to check your balance, call 011-22901406 from your registered number and leave a message. The approach is free to use and is suitable for both smartphone and non-smartphone users. It is not necessary for users to provide their UAN.
All that remains is for you to connect your phone number to your bank account, Aadhaar number, and PAN.
