OnePlus appears to be ready to introduce its first tablet in India shortly. The Android tablet, dubbed the OnePlus Pad, has now appeared on the Indian trademark website, indicating an impending release.
Mukul Sharma, a tipper, provided a screenshot of the trademark listing, which shows the words “OnePlus Pad” listed. The trademark was filed on July 5, 2021, with OnePlus Technology (Shenzhen) Co. Ltd. as the owner. While no more information is provided in this entry, a comparable trademark was discovered on the website of the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO) last year.
The OnePlus Pad is expected to be a high-end tablet, according to rumours. It might arrive with Android 12L, which is Android 12 modified for tablets. Furthermore, the OnePlus Pad might include a 12.4-inch OLED screen with a FullHD display. However, it is unclear if the display will allow a higher refresh rate.
This tablet might be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 865 Chipset. The OnePlus Pad may be powered by a 10,900mAh battery with 45W fast charging capabilities. It is likely to include a 13-megapixel main camera and a 5-megapixel secondary camera on the back.
OnePlus may introduce the OnePlus Pad later this year, and while a specific date has not been announced, it is thought that the brand will bring its tablet to India shortly to compete with Xiaomi. According to rumours, the OnePlus Pad would cost around Rs 34,500.
