The 75th edition of the Cannes Film Festival will begin on May 16. Deepika Padukone, who is also one of the festival’s eight jury members, will grace the red carpet for the entire 10 days. For those who are curious, the film lineup has been revealed by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting. Rocketry- The Nambi Effect, directed by R Madhavan, will make its global debut at Cannes. Aside from that, an industry insider has revealed that Akshay Kumar will be at Cannes on May 18.
CANNES FILM FESTIVAL FILMS LINEUP
The Cannes Film Festival is due to begin on May 16, and the film programme is already available. Deepika Padukone is a member of the jury. Akshay Kumar may also attend the event. R Madhavan’s Rocketry- The Nambi Effect will have its international debut during the festival. Tamil, Marathi, Malayalam, Mishing, and Hindi films will take the main stage. While Rocketry will have its world debut in Palais K, other films will be shown at the Olympia.

India will be the official Country of Honour at the Marche’ Du Film in France, which is held in conjunction with the Cannes Film Festival. The status also implies that India will be the focal point. India has been granted the option to propose five films in the ‘Goes to Cannes Section.’
