The most anticipated Ranveer Singh film of the year has finally hit the theatres on May 13. It will still be too soon to judge how this social comedy is doing in theatres, but let’s see how much it has earned so far.
Film trade analysts had predicted that the film would earn around Rs 5-6 crore on its 1st day, however, it didn’t achieve that milestone. The film didn’t gain a lot of audience in theatres on its first day.
As per a Bollywood Hungama report, Jayeshbhai Jordaar has earned between Rs 2.85 to 3.15 crore on its opening day. The film has yet to witness occupancy in the morning and afternoon shows, however, the evening shows also went empty.
While predicting the film’s day one box office collection, film exhibitor Akshaye Rathi said, “The only thing that can make or break Jayeshbhai Jordaar is the merit of the film. The audience has become very selective about what is worthy of their time and money when it comes to going to the theatres, and any movie which gives them these will be consumed.”
Such an opening is a slow start and the film might do well at the box office. The film would make a maximum of Rs 20 to 30 crores in its theatre run if this trend continues. There are mixed reviews for Jayeshbhai Jordaar and only good reviews can attract the audience to the theatres.
