Over 10,000 MBBS aspirants have written to the National Testing Agency (NTA) requesting that the medical entrance exam NEET be delayed due to its proximity to other competitive exams. This year’s critical exam is planned for July 17th. The MBBS aspirants stated in the letter that the date for this year’s National Eligibility Cumulative Entrance Test (NEET) has been issued, despite the fact that counselling for last year’s test has not yet concluded.
As per the report, a large number of droppers and freshmen would not have enough time to prepare for the NEET. The exam was originally set for August 1, but it was moved to September 12 owing to the second wave of the COVID-19 epidemic. CUET is also slated for the first and second weeks of July, while the JEE mains second attempt is set to begin on July 21, 2022. Students will face a significant burden between NEET on July 17th.
MBBS is a dream of lakhs of students, and the emotions of their parents and professors are intertwined with it. However, as a result of this pronouncement of early dates, many are beginning to give up on their ambitions. Please provide them enough time to study for the exam, the letter said.
The Supreme Court last week denied petitions seeking to postpone the 2022 NEET-PG tests, stating that any alteration to the May 21 schedule will cause confusion, uncertainty, and a shortage of doctors in hospitals.
