Sunrisers Hyderabad bowler Umran Malik has surprised everyone yet again with his fantastic bowling abilities. He now holds the record for fastest delivery in the current season so far.
In the recent match against Mumbai Indians, Umran Malik added another feather to his cap and became the youngest Indian bowler to take 20 or more wickets in an IPL season. Before this, Jasprit Bumrah held the record since IPL 2017.
Umran Malik had a bumpy start when he took 3 wickets for 23 runs in 3 overs as SRH halted Mumbai Indians’ chase of 193 in their league game at the Wankhede Stadium on Tuesday night.
The pacer broke the record of the fastest delivery of the season at 157 kmph as he took out the well-set MI opener Ishan Kishan, Daniel Sams and Tilak Varma to wipe out the 50time champions’ top order.
He broke into the top 5 of the IPL 2022 wicket-takers list as he took his tally to a 21 after winning against Mumbai Indians. He is now 4th in the list of bowlers to take the most wickets in IPL 2022, 3 behind the leader Yuzvendra Chahal.
