As per a study, Bengaluru outperforms Delhi and Mumbai in terms of job creation

According to research, Bengaluru produced the most employment in India in 2021-22, ahead of Delhi and Mumbai. While sales and business development were the most job-creating sectors, information technology (IT) engineers were the best paid in the country, according to research from chat-based direct hiring platform Hirect.

The recruiting sector has already been altered and significantly affected. Experts have already begun to adapt, overcome, and improve their hiring tactics. The primary emphasis is on staff retention and employee experience (from interview to onboarding). According to Hirect, the “Next New Normal” for the recruiting sector is the fast, rapid, and quick hiring process with the advent of new-age organisations.

CITIES WITH THE MOST JOBS

Bengaluru leads the way in terms of job creation and employment creation, with a 17.6 percent share in 2021-22.

Delhi comes in second with an 11.5 percent employment rate, followed by Mumbai with a 10.4 percent rate and Noida with a 6% employment rate.

TOP SECTORS

The leading job-creating industry is sales and business development. In 2021-22, it accounted for 26.9 percent of employment.

IT/ITES has produced the second-highest number of jobs, accounting for 20.6% of total employment for the year.

Marketing employs 9.9 percent of the workforce. While procurement or trade, at 0.3%, was one of the year’s least job-creating industries.

HIGHEST PAYING JOBS

According to Hirect’s data, IT Engineers (with 5-10 years of experience) are among the highest-paid positions (54.2%), followed by Sales and Business Development (20.4% of the same experience range).

Marketing comes in third place with 9.9 percent, followed by Operations (9%) and others (6.5 per cent).
