According to the holiday list issued by RBI, banks will be closed for 9 days. However, not all the banks will be closed across the country as there are state holidays also included in the list.

- August 9 (Tuesday) – Muharram
- August 13 – 2nd Saturday
- August 14 – Sunday
- August 15 (Monday) – Independence Day
- August 19 (Friday) – Janmashtami
- August 21 – Sunday
- August 27 – 4th Saturday
- August 28 – Sunday
Most of the holidays mentioned this month is applicable to most of the states. However, it may vary for some states. Hence you must check with your bank before visiting.
