Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Tuesday will appear before the ED (Enforcement Directorate) for her second round of questioning in the money laundering case linked o the National Herald newspaper.
She will be appearing for questioning at noon today for recording her statement by the ED investigating officer, officials said.
Police forces have been deployed near the Congress office in Delhi ahead of the questioning. Previously, the top Congress leaders had met to evolve a strategy ahead of Sonia Gandhi’s questioning by the ED, even after Delhi Police denied the party permission to protest at the Raj Ghat and imposed section 144 there.
The Congress leaders have decided to stage a peaceful protest once again on Tuesday. Their request to stage a ‘satyagraha’ at Raj Ghat was turned down by the Delhi Police which also imposed prohibitory order under section 144 of the Criminal Procedure Code in the area.
