India whitewash West Indies in ODIs at their home ground for the first time ever

After 2 nail-biting matches, it was a cakewalk for India to win the 3rd ODI against West Indies in Port of Spain on Wednesday. India opted to bat first and made 225/3 in 36 overs. However, with the rain encounter, the match was paused.

Following the DLS method, West Indies had to chase 257 in 35 overs. However, WI could only manage 137 as India won the contest by 119 runs.


Yuzvendra Chahal outperformed himself as he took 4 wickets while Mohammed Siraj and Shardul Thakur shared 2 wickets each.

Before the rain, Shubham Gill scored almost a century with 98 runs, Shikhar Dhawan at 58 (74) and Shreyas Iyer at 44 (34).

India won all the 3 matches in the ODI series against West Indies and it is the first time in cricket history that India whitewashed West Indies in an ODI series in their home country.
